ThreadScope came out of my thesis project as part of my Bsc Physics degree  at Azim Premji University Bangalore. Initially the goal was to modify the existing Openflexure microscope but over the time me and my mentor Dr Rema Krishnaswamy decided to make a new microscope with completely new design from scratch hence ThreadScope was born. After going  through multiple iterations ThreadScope has evolved from just a simple microscope to a advanced microscope .
